Welcome to the Website of the Farmington, New Hampshire Police Department. We are proud to highlight the dedicated officers and civilian personnel who serve the citizens of this picturesque New England community.
Nestled in the foothills of the majestic White Mountains, the Town of Farmington is the Gateway to the Lakes Region
I would like to thank you for visiting our website. We have worked very hard to bring you a site that includes useful information about the Town, the Department and other areas of interest. We will be updating the site periodically, so visit often.
The Town of Farmington and the Farmington Police Department have changed greatly since I joined the Department in 1985. Farmington is no longer a town dotted full of shoe shops that were once the Town's lifeblood. The Town is now a bedroom community whose residents work all over the seacoast. Businesses are coming to Farmington, but are different from what we have seen in the past. Farmington will continue to grow and so will the opportunities here.
The Department has also changed greatly. We now have 14 full time officers including the School Resource Officer. We have expanded our work force over the past 5 years utilizing grants to maintain the best possible police service with a minimal impact to the tax payer. We provide community-policing programs including DARE, bike safety, JOLT and others. We are looking forward to changing as the community changes in the future.
Your feedback and involvement are important aspects to our success. Few crimes are prevented or solved by police officers alone. Information must flow freely between the Department and it's citizens for the Criminal Justice System to work. I encourage you to be involved in the workings of the Department and to contact me if you have any questions or concerns.
